This is a fanciful
dreamscape filled with boats of the water and ships of the air.
A celebration of the Year of the Wooden Boat, the Mahone Bay Wooden
Boat Festival, and of maritime life in general. "Sail on
Nova Scotia"!
Just Once In a Very Blue Moon
(1997)
Painted in oils on
panel in a handmade, carved pine frame, this large image endeavours
to present maritime winter at its best. A shooting star races
across the night sky as a gentle snow falls quietly on the sleepy
sea side town.
Fall Day, Lunenburg
Town (1997) A
crisp breeze is in the air and the leaves have changed to golden
yellow, vibrant red and brilliant orange as Bluenose II gently
glides into port under full sail. The town is still bustling with
visitors as the locals go about their daily lives. This image
complements Lunenburg Town exhibited in Gallery One.
